What I Think Obama Is Doing

I think that Obama should explain his thinking on his actions or his nonactions. I believe that because when he was senator he accomplished a few victories with republican partners he
thought he could work bipartisan. But he was fooled. Also I think that he didn't want to fight because a very wise man once said that when you win a war with battles you will always
have battles. But if you win a war with peacefully there will be no more war. (not his exact words but that's what he was saying in other words). But now I now that Obama knows
that the enemy is not looking for peaceful ends they want a bloodthirsty victory. And he is now ready to fight. And what better fighter to fight in the political forum than a teacher
of Constitutional Law. He can't be beat! We all know in our hearts that Obama is a good man with good intentions for this country. Also I would like to add that in the debt ceiling
fiasco he gave to the republicans alot of things but he didn't give in the basics of the new deal that FDR made for this country in the depression: welfare, medicare, medicaid, social security.
the very thing that prevents poor people from becoming poverty stricken
When the republicans did not back his job act he knows now that he has to fight. And fight he will. We must back him.

Keep The Vote Alive

Hi Americans,
I think it would be wise to remember the hope you felt for  Barak Obama.  The inspiration that he would fix the problems the Republicans caused.
There are certain times in American History where an African American rescued the United States from disaster.  Take for example, when George Washington Carver discovered that planting peanuts would replenish the depleted soil of the Southern States.  Then he came up with hundreds of ideas on what to do with the peanuts!
Another example is Benjamin Banneker, who designed Washington D.C., after the French designer left the U.S. with the plans.  Benjamin Banneker's photographic memory put Washington D.C. on the map and he even made some improvements on the original plans!

Is Christmas really Christmas

I believe that the Christmas Holiday is not what the Lord had in mind for earth to remember his son.
With my little  knowledge of Christianty I can't speak with authority, but I can speak with authority
on this society - who I believe has desecrated the sancitity of The Lord Christ's Birth. In this society
people buy people gifts that they can't afford and don't need.  I thing Jesus Christ would appreiciate some
candles, frankincence, myrhrr  and a little gold, like the three wise men gave him in his cradle.
I think he would even prefer that people take the money that they would normally spend on Christmas gifts and give that money to charity.

I mean this is supposed to be Christ's birth not every one you can think of to buy a gift for. Buy a gift for them on their birthday.

And the realtailers, do you know why the day after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday, because that's
when they get out of the red into the black. All year they are in debt and the Christmas shopping let's
them pay their debtors

I would like to see the Vatican make a statement that the Christmas Holidays are falsley practiced
with all this gift giving to people and it should be stopped.

As an aside...before donating your money to a charity you should make sure that no more than 25% of the donations they receive is used for the organization's administrative costs. You need to make sure that the money you donate is actually used for the purpose for which you donated it.

Surviving A Brain Tumor

Let me say, in all modesty, that I’m a good writer. In fact I’ve written four novels, all which have been bestsellers.
So I was pretty nonchalant when I turned on my computer to finish my new manuscript which was due to Warner Books in eight months. I hadn’t worked on it in weeks, so I re-read my last chapter to ensure continuity.
After one page I screamed: “I’ve never read anything so boring in my life!”
And when I tried writing a new chapter I came up empty of ideas.
Had I suddenly been plunged into the Twilight’s Zone?
Worse, I soon found out. I’d developed a brain tumor.

Langston Hughes - Poet Laurette of the Harlem Renaissance

Langston Hughes 1902 - 1967

Langston Hughes short stories and poems usually took place in Harlem during the Harlem renaissance. His writings and literature was something he took very serious, and during that time it was hard to have a job as a writer. That time was the 1920’s and 30’s. Langston Hughes was then labeled as a literary phenomenon because he was the first African American to take such seriousness with his works. He traveled all through out the world, which also had a great effect on his writings and experiences.
Langston Hughes’ poems and stories are classified as racial affirmation meaning injustice or inequality, and racial protest. During his time of writing there were big economic crises, racial problems, a world war, and oppression. His writings reflex all of this and people regarded him as a writer who was idea of social and political justice. He then focused on certain topics such as Jim Crow laws, lynching, injustice, and inclusion.
